 ”あすほーる・コール”はこの頃から健在😅

Ramse: We should take positions here, and we just wait them out.
Cole: That camp looks cold.
Ramse: You don't know that.
Cole: We wait them out, we could be here all night, then we're humping back in daylight.
Ramse: Listen, we get ambushed, we don't make it back at all.
Cole: It's a fair point. You stay here. Wait them out.
Ramse: Cole. Cole! Asshole.

人の話をとにかく聞かないコールたん。考えるのも待つのも大の苦手。

Ramse: You're not seriously considering going back there huh? Jones said this was one and done.
Cole: I guess Jones was wrong.

1回で終わるはずだったのに、また過去にジャンプしないといけない。
次にコールたんが無事に帰ってこられる保証はないわけだし、ラムジーが心配しちゃうのも当然。 

Ramse: You never listen, huh?

　ほんとにね。よもやこれが伏線だったのかってくらいにコールたん、人の話にきかないよね。（で、ついでに考えるのも苦手っていう） 

Ramse: My friend, you are not the same man since you got back, and you're bringing me down.

Cole: What are you talking about?

Rose: Look, I'm telling you, you you're different.

Cole: No, I'm not.

Ramse: Yeah, you are. Listen, I get it, okay? You're a little sad about being back.Who wouldn't be? I mean, you got the food.You got the sights the girl.

Cole: It's not like that, man.

Ramse: Just remember, you're not from there. You're from here.

　ラムジーはコールたんが恋に落ちたってもうわかっていたんだろうなぁ。チーズバーガーでキャシーにあっさり餌付けされコールたん...(違います）

　ラムジーからしてみればいったんコールたんが命をかけたジョーンズの計画は、結果的に世界を変えるにはいたらなかったわけだから、不信感の方が大きくなるのも当然だよな。永遠のお別れの覚悟でコールたんを送り出していたのだとすれば、また同じ思いはしたくないだろうし、コールたんを意味なく危ない目に合わしたくないはず。 

Jones:Time is cruel, Mr.Cole. We are risking everything by toying with it, taunting it. Believe me.I've learned enough about time to fear it. And so should you.

　この時点でどのくらいジョーンズはタイムトラベルをすることで起こるリスクを理解していたんだろう。

Ramse: Are you ready to feed the beast?

Cole: Oh, yeah.

Lasky: Mr.Ramse, you can't go in there!

Ramse: Lasky, shut your mouth! All right, I want you to have fun back there this time, okay? I don't want you to get shot. I want you to get laid, okay? Find some vintage.

Cole: "Vintage"?

Ramse: Yes.

Cole: What was your mother's name again? Roberta, right?

Ramse: See, that is some cold shit right there, brother.

Cole: Briar Street, Philly, right?

Ramse: You're not being nice to me.
Cole: She was pretty, right?

Ramse: Let me ask you. Are you my father?

 軽口たたいてコールたんをリラックスさせたいラムジー兄ちゃん。
 本当なら一人で行かせたくないんだろうなぁ。
 コールたんが無鉄砲なのを一番よく知ってるわけだし。でも”get laid"はタイムトラベル中一番やらかしちゃいけないことだと思うゾ〜。今思えばこれもフラグだったのかしら😅

Cole: You got to be shitting me.

　フィラデルフィアどころか北朝鮮に飛ばされちゃったコールたん。
　You got to be kidding me. と同じ意味ですって。

Jennifer:　Those eyes left, right, swaying like a granddaddy clock. Soulful otter eyes. 

  ”otter eyes”＝カワウソの瞳。ジェニファーが産み出した最大の名言（うそ）
　もうコールたんのお目めはカワウソの瞳にしか見えないっていう。

Cole: Look, the people who sent me back they're worried about your timeline.

Cassie: It's too late for that.

Cole: Your future could affect everything.

Cassie: Okay, I don't care about your paradox bullshit, Cole.

 難しいことは受け売りでしか説明できないコールたん。それで科学者なキャシーを説得するのは無理。そもそも、ひとたびタイムトラベルはじめちゃったら、どこまでが折り込み済みなのかなんて把握するのは無理だと思うんだなぁ。

Pallid man: Hello, Cole.

Cole: Who are you?

Pallid man: Please, are you suggesting you don't remember me? That would make this even more painful.

ゴインズに続いてコールたんは知らないのにコールたんを知っている人物登場。コールたんにこの先どんな運命が待ち受けているのか不安しかない。

Cassie: "We"?

Cole: We.

Cassie:Time to go.

Cole: See you soon.

 誰になんと言われようがキャシーに手伝ってもらうことを決めたコールたん。
こんな任務一人でなんて絶対無理だって。むしろキャシーがコールたんを信じてくれて積極的に協力してくれる気になってくれたことに感謝せねば。で、なかったらそもそもジョーンズが重要視するキャシーのメッセージにコールたんの名前が含まれるってこともなかったんじゃないかと思うんだ。

Cole: I'm not your soldier.

Jones: Tell me, Mr.Cole, what are you, then? What would you be had I not given you this mission a scavenger wandering the wastelands for scraps?

　ジョーンズのこの言い草はひどいと思う。普通に生きられて何者かになれるような世界なんだったら、そもそもタイムトラベルなんかやって過去変える必要もないんじゃないかと思うんだ。まぁ、コールたん達が生きる世界がどんな具合かよくわかってないから、ちゃんとした人生（？）を歩むことも可能だったこもしれないけど。

　でも一生牢獄かタイムトラベルするかの二択しか与えられてないわけだし、それも任務を果たしたら存在が消えるわけだから、ある意味、死刑と一緒じゃんとか思うんだけど...

Cole: We had a one-shot deal.I go back in time. I kill a man for you, and it's all over for me.I get erased. I'm not supposed to be here anymore.

Jones: None of us are. Oh, Mr.Cole, you and I we want the same thing to change this reality. But that won't happen if we don't trust each other.

Cole: Then you need to trust me. Back there, I need her. I can't do this alone.

　世界を救うために人を殺して、そして自分も消える。コールたんにとってみればものすごい覚悟と決意だったはずだ。絶対に失敗できない任務。やりとげれば疫病がおこらない世界で自分も幸せに暮らせている、少なくとも今よりはずっとマシな人生が送れているはず...とかって思ってたかな〜。

　疫病が起こった時、まだ幼かったというコールたん。免疫を持っていたおかげで生き延びられたとはいえ、この任務を引き受けることになるまで、生きていくのに相当な苦労をしたはずだ。コールたんがウィルスをばらまいて世界を壊したわけじゃないのに、その命運を一身に背負わされるってどう考えても苛酷すぎやしませんか。
